Halie Hargraves has been selected to play in the Texas Girls Coaches Association 2008 All-Star Basketball Game. The TGCA game is made up of 24 female athletes from across Texas, 1A-3A division schools. Halie is on the 1A-2A-3A - SOUTH team. The game is July 10, 2008 - Grand Prairie High School, Grand Prairie, Texas, 1A-2A-3A, Pre-game 5:30 p.m. The 4A-5A, Pre-game 7:30 p.m. will follow. We believe Halie is the first Christoval female athlete to be selected to play in an All-Star Game!
Kellen Gierke has been selected to play in the FCA All Star game in Abilene the first weekend in June and the Texas HS Coaches Association All Star Game on July 29th in San Antonio. The FCA All Star game is made up of Abilene and San Angelo area athletes. The THSCA All Star game is made up of 78 athletes from across the state of Texas classes 1A-5A, this is a prestigious game to be selected to play in! The rosters can be viewed at www.thsca.com
Congrats to JT Hurt, Carmen Herrera, and Devon Bailey. These students advanced to the state track meet to be held in Austin May 9 & 10. JT won the high jump at 6'6". Carmen won the 400 meter dash in 59.42. Devon finished 2nd in the high jump with 5'2". All of these were personal bests! Way to go Cougars!
Congrats Keith & Claudia you are our 2008 Prom King and Queen! Jessica Bolen placed 2nd in our region in L/D debate and qualified for the UIL State Academic competition in May. Monica Riojas qualified as an alternate to the state meet in Feature Writing. Be sure to congratulate them on this outstanding achievement.
