Due to the Lady Cougars' playoff game, the dual credit parent meeting will now be on Wednesday, Feb. 12th @ 6 p.m. in room 108.
Ms. Mecke is teaching sand dunes this week. During the lab students used a straw to mimic the wind to create different types of sand dunes.
Students are learning all about symmetry during art class this week.

Christoval Elementary week at a glance for February 3-7.
Today we celebrated 100 days of learning at Christoval Elementary! Students were rewarded with popcorn and pickles for all their hard work.
This year we have 14 students traveling to the Texas DECA CDC (State Competition) in Dallas on March 6-8! We went to Sweetwater for the District 9 Competition with 17 individual and group entries. In our district are Ballinger, Abilene Lift, Abilene Cooper, Graham, Hamlin, San Angelo Central, Snyder, Stephenville, Sweetwater, Trent, Wichita Falls, and your Christoval Cougars. We held our own against some stiff competition. Each competitor put a ton of time and effort into their events, and we had some truly impressive team decision making, role plays, and written projects.
Before we get to our State Qualifiers, I would like to give special recognition to our chapter officers who have really taken the lead and made their mark, and seniors who have helped build the program into what it is today:

Third graders are learning all about text features and how to properly use them. They had lots of fun reviewing with a Kahoot game and then working with a partner completing task cards.
Tom Green County Farm Bureau presented Coach Pump's Greenhouse class with a check today. This was a matching grant with Texas Farm Bureau's Garden Grant Program.
Fourth graders are learning about elapsed time during math. The students did a great job working together to figure out the task cards.
