Happy Cake Day to all of our January birthdays!

Christoval Elementary week at a glance for February 3-7.

Today we celebrated 100 days of learning at Christoval Elementary! Students were rewarded with popcorn and pickles for all their hard work.

This year we have 14 students traveling to the Texas DECA CDC (State Competition) in Dallas on March 6-8! We went to Sweetwater for the District 9 Competition with 17 individual and group entries. In our district are Ballinger, Abilene Lift, Abilene Cooper, Graham, Hamlin, San Angelo Central, Snyder, Stephenville, Sweetwater, Trent, Wichita Falls, and your Christoval Cougars. Christoval Elementary week at a glance

We are excited to announce that after twenty plus years of coaching, Athletic Director, Casey Otho has accepted the challenge of becoming our new long term Intermediate School Principal for the 2025-2026 school year. “This is something that I have been preparing myself for personally and professionally. You never know when the Lord is going to lead you in another direction” said Coach Otho. Coach Otho started his coaching here at Christoval in 2012 with prior stops at Plainview High School, Mansfield Timberview, and San Angelo Central. He took over as the Head Football Coach in 2016, and since then has compiled a 62-40 overall record with eight playoff appearances, seven playoff wins, and three District Championships. His best season resulted in a trip to the Regional Finals. Coach Otho also served as Christoval ISD’s very first Head Baseball Coach in which he led the Cougars to four playoff appearances, two playoff wins, and a District Championship. He has recently completed his master’s degree in Educational Leadership and is ready to hit the ground running. “I am very proud of the things that I’ve been able to accomplish here at Christoval. I could not have asked for a better community and supporting staff. To all the people whose lives I have impacted as a coach, I am truly blessed, and am looking forward to doing the same thing as a principal.” Coach Otho also went on to say that he looks forward to devoting more time to his family and watching his two daughters write their own chapters in life. Coach Otho will continue to serve as the Athletic Director and Head Boys Track Coach for the remainder of the year. Mr. Kuhlmann, our current outstanding Intermediate School Principal has decided to spend his current retirement working part time for us next year. He will be helping with the transition to the new Intermediate Campus and cover our dual credit labs. The Athletic Director’s position will be posted immediately with hopes of having a new hire on campus this spring.

Second graders enjoyed learning all about the Battle of San Jacinto during social studies.
