
JV red completed in the Sterling City JV Tournament today. They started off the day beating the host team 2-1, then came up short in a battle against Fort Davis 1-2 and then fell in the 3rd place game to Bronte 0-2. They had some big blocks, strong hits and amazing digs. These girls are fun to watch! We are ready to start district on Tuesday at Water Valley! 🏐🙌🏻❤️🐾


Kindergarten learned all about the letter L this week and 2nd grade had their first library lesson of the year.




Lady Cougar Volleyball Player of the Week is #14 Braylee Silva!
She is a huge asset to the Lady Cougars and plays Middle and Outside Hitter. This week she had 8 kills, 7 digs, 2 solo blocks and 1 ace against Reagan County and 6 kills, 1 solo block and 4 digs against Iraan. She is a passionate player and pushes her team to give their all!


8th grade students in Mr. Harris' Professional Communication class deliver How-To speeches.




5th graders are attending Starbase at Goodfellow AFB this week and are having so much fun!

WEEK 3 PLAYERS OF THE WEEK


Today was a great day! 1st graders worked on coding words and kindergarten worked on letter recognition with an alphabet arc.




Headstart students are learning about shapes and searched for different shaped rocks. They get a little distracted 😊 so ended the lesson looking for bugs.





The Cougars and Lady Cougars Cross Country team competed yesterday at the Abilene invitational where they faced some very tough competition(1-4A) on a tough course. Our Lady Cougars came out 4th as a team (first for 2A division) with Presley Polk placing 4th and Kenadee Millican placing 5th.
The Cougars faced the toughest competition so far this season and came out 10th as a team and 2nd for 2A!!
This course was as close the the regional course so it helped to prepare us for pre regionals in 2 weeks.
This week HS and JH will compete at Mertzon on Wednesday! Wish them luck!! We are chasing greatness!



Congrats to our junior high Lady Cougars! The white and black team competed in the Sonora tournament yesterday and the black team finished 3rd overall in their bracket and the white team finished 1st in theirs! Congrats to these players and coaches on a long and successful day of volleyball! 🏐❤️🐾
All our junior high teams play tomorrow at home against Sonora. 8 white and 7 white play at 5:00, 8 red and 7 red play at 6:00. 8th grade in main gym, 7th grade in multipurpose gym.

Lady Cougar Volleyball Player of the Week is Lexie Young!
Lexie is a strong outside hitter that had some adversity and heartbreak early in the season. She rehabbed an early stress fracture in a boot for a couple weeks and is back and better than ever. She had 2 kills and 3 aces last week vs. San Angelo Saints. She's always encouraging to teammates and a great leader.
